Lewis & Clark will donate $1 from each paid spectator admission to local nonprofit organizations serving cats. Cat Adoption Team is the Pacific NW?s largest nonprofit, adoption guarantee cat shelter. CAT reported 1,353 kitten and mother cat fosters, 2,882 adoptions, and 2,575 in-house spays/neuters during 2021. Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon, a nonprofit offering a spay/neuter program for cats, provided spay/neuter services to a record-breaking 8,389 feral and stray cats this past year. In addition, FCCO helps cat owners learn how catios, outdoor pet enclosures, offer cats healthy exercise time, keep cats safe and wildlife safer

L & C Entry Fees

Entries:
All entries (including for sale or exhibition) must be on a signed, official CFA entry form or an exact copy. Entry clerk will call or email, if information is incomplete or illegible. There is a $25.00 fee for returned checks. Make checks payable to Lewis & Clark LH Specialty. All fees must be in U.S. funds and accompany entries. No refund for failure to bench. One benching request per exhibitor, please. Entry fee includes $2.00 mandatory CFA surcharge.

For Sale/Exhibition Entries:
All entries, including for sale or exhibition entries must be on a signed, official CFA entry form or a facsimile. Kittens must be at least 4 calendar months of age or older and comply with all other CFA show rules.

Household Pets:
Judging of Household Pets is based solely on beauty and condition. Wild cats or wild cat-domestic hybrid crosses are not eligible for entry. All household pet entries 8 months of age or older must be spayed or neutered.

Health:
This is a non-vetted show. We ask that all cats and kittens be current on all vaccinations (FVRCP, FeLV, etc.). Under current CFA show rules, show management reserves the right to have any cat showing signs of illness, disease or parasites removed from the show hall, in order to protect other cats in the show. All claws must be clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry. No kittens under 4 months of age will be allowed in the show hall.

Cage Size:
Single cage size is 21" x 21" x 21". Double cage size is 45" x 21" x 21". No more than one cat or two kittens may be benched in a single cage. All cages must have curtains covering the back, sides and top in addition to a rug or mat on the floor of the cage. All Security cages require a double cage space; $20-dollar double cage fee applies.

Awards:
Ribbons and rosettes will be awarded for all wins in accordance with CFA Show Rules General Information: This show will be conducted in accordance with current CFA Show Rules.

Show Rules:
This show will be conducted in accordance with current CFA Show Rules. A copy of the CFA Show Rules may be viewed online or obtained for $7.00 plus $2.00 shipping/handling from CFA, 260 East Main Street, Alliance, OH 44601.
 
All entries in Championship and Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with a Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of Novices may contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number (TRN). No kitten under four months will be allowed in the show hall. Blue slips may be required for proof of age.
 
The MISCELLANEOUS (non-Competitive) CLASS is for any registered cat or registered kitten of a breed not accepted for Provisional Breed Competition. Miscellaneous class entries are examined by judges; however, no awards will be made in the class. All Bengal championship, premiership and kitten entries and all Bengals in the show hall must be registerable (5 generation pedigree with no wild blood). A TRN can only be issued if the parents are CFA registered. Show Rule 2.19E

Check-In and Judging:
Check-in will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Sat. and 8:30 am Sun. Advertised show hours will be from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Exhibitors and their cats must stay in the show hall during the advertised show hours, unless they receive permission from show management.

Show Hall:
This is an accessible, non-smoking facility. It is approximately 15 minutes from the Portland International Airport (PDX). Frequent MAX Light Rail service is available between the airport terminal and a stop directly across the street from the DoubleTree Lloyd Center. The show hall has heat but does not have air conditioning.

Supplies and Miscellaneous:
Litter will be provided. Cat food will be provided as donated. Please bring your own food and water dishes, and your own litter pan. People food will be available from the concession stand. No outside food is allowed by this facility.
